Gerardo Lauro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Haroldo Frederico made a huge save. Benito Florin came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Haroldo Frederico could save by the left post. When Romulo Gerazan fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Batatona FC's protests and gave Romulo Gerazan a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Manchester City defense, Alfredo Oroitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Abilio. The Manchester City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Abilio should have stopped the shot. Manchester City's Saul Bartoleme got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Manchester City defense, Mario Guillelmo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Abilio. The Manchester City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Abilio should have stopped the shot. Benito Florin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Frederico having to interfere. Mario Guillelmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Diego Abilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Oroitz in the 45th minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Diego Abilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Batatona FC's goalkeeper Haroldo Frederico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Florin. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Oroitz was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Manchester City's Gustavo Enaut made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo Frederico was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manchester City's Diego Abilio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester City from getting a goal against them. Alfredo Oroitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Diego Abilio made a huge save. Romulo Gerazan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Alfredo Oroitz came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Batatona FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Oroitz couldn't finish the play. Diego Abilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Osmundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Oroitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Diego Abilio made a huge save. Alfredo Oroitz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Diego Abilio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Lauro in the 73rd minute of play forced Batatona FC's goalkeeper Haroldo Frederico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Alfredo Oroitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Batatona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Oroitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Haroldo Frederico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Florin in the 81st minute of the match. Diego Abilio came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Batatona FC's Alfredo Oroitz. But to his dismay, Alfredo Oroitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Mario Guillelmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Diego Abilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfredo Oroitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Batatona FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Manchester City throughout the match.
