Sixto Breogan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Constantino Phelipe notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Joyango's Sixto Breogan. Sixto Breogan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Douglas Haig defense, Arturo Ferman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Fertus. The Douglas Haig fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Fertus should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute Isaias Salomone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Fertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Mikolas in the 34th minute of play forced Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Joel Fertus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Fertus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Urre in the 35th minute of the match. When Generoso Ovando fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Douglas Haig's protests and gave Generoso Ovando a yellow card for diving instead. Generoso Ovando kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Constantino Phelipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Breogan having to interfere. In the 48th minute Natalio Urre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Fertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Douglas Haig booed when Joyango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Omero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joyango's Sixto Breogan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Phelipe in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Joyango's Isaias Salomone dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. In the 74th minute, Conrado Omero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Constantino Phelipe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sixto Breogan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Mauricio Joanes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Constantino Phelipe came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Douglas Haig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Phelipe couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Douglas Haig's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Urre came free, but Joel Fertus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sixto Breogan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Phelipe, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Arsenio Chale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Douglas Haig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arsenio Chale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Douglas Haig's Joel Fertus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Urre in the 92nd minute of play. Joel Fertus was a little too slow when Isaias Salomone got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 2-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Joyango had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
