After 39 played minutes Estudiantes de La Plata got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Luzea. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isidoro Perrando stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Douglas Haig's Joel Fertus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Douglas Haig from getting a goal against them. Joel Fertus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Faron in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute Isidoro Perrando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantino Phelipe scored 2-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felix Neto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Isidoro Perrando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Neto having to interfere. Felix Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Perrando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Isidoro Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Isidoro Perrando scored 3-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felix Neto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Estudiantes de La Plata's Felix Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Perrando in the 74th minute of play. If Javier Garin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Haig fully deserved thier win.
