Spectators: 6656 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 0) When Albino Sesuldo fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de La Plata's protests and gave Albino Sesuldo a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Estudiantes de La Plata fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! If Javier Garin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melquiades Jerico charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melquiades Jerico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Estudiantes de La Plata got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Jerico. In the 20th minute of the match Victorino Sugar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felix Neto skillfully saved the ball. Lino Handi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Clementi in the 25th minute of the match. Felix Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Clementi in the 26th minute of play. Felix Neto made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Lino Handi sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de La Plata's zone, Zeledon Clementi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Neto came out of the goal and Zeledon Clementi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute Miguel Faron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Santio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de La Plata's zone, Victorino Sugar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Neto came out of the goal and Victorino Sugar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lino Handi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Felix Neto made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Faron was the one to do the kick off. When Javier Garin came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Estudiantes de La Plata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Garin couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the game, one of Tumanas FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 57 minutes, Estudiantes de La Plata's Justo Ugaitz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Saul Santio. If Miguel Faron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Garin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Saul Santio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 70th minute, Estudiantes de La Plata's Javier Garin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Zeledon Clementi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Felix Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Estudiantes de La Plata's Felix Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Clementi in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Handi in the 84th minute of play forced Estudiantes de La Plata's goalkeeper Felix Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes of play, Tumanas FC's Eulalio Erramu made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felix Neto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lino Handi struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Felix Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tumanas FC. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
