Batatona FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinguinos de Comodoro Riv the free kick. Alfredo Oroitz succeeded in the game's 47th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The referee ignored Batatona FC's protests and gave Mario Guillelmo a yellow card for diving instead. Mario Guillelmo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Romulo Gerazan charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romulo Gerazan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Batatona FC reached it. When the referee ended the match the Batatona FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
