The referee ignored Tortugas's protests and gave Alfredo Paskal a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tortugas getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Alfredo Paskal hit a great ball. In the 16th minute Flavio Remicio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Pueblo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvestre Pueblo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Joseph in the 17th minute. Blas Esdras struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Jeremias Osoitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tortugas. Teofilo Roldanillo scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremias Osoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teofilo Roldanillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tortugas's Ovidio Perpinya got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Tortugas's goalkeeper Silvestre Pueblo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualterio Filipo. After 33 played minutes Tortugas got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Paskal. In the 36th minute, Gavino Donzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremias Osoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Esdras in the 39th minute of the match. Silvestre Pueblo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavio Remicio's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Flavio Remicio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Pueblo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tortugas's Anastasio Herensuge got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute, Blas Esdras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tortugas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavio Remicio was the one to do the kick off. If Blas Esdras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Sauveur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Esdras in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremias Osoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teofilo Roldanillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Ovidio Perpinya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Ovidio Perpinya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tortugas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidio Perpinya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anastasio Herensuge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Danilo Joseph got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeremias Osoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Esdras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Blas Esdras took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Jeremias Osoitz to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Remicio in the 87th minute of play forced Tortugas's goalkeeper Silvestre Pueblo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Tortugas's Ovidio Perpinya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremias Osoitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
