The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonatan Vidal during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Vidal to maneuver through the defense. Moscu FC's Ildefonso Aritza got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Reynaldo Eneas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ildefonso Aritza got free with Esteban Mazuste in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 18 played minutes Moscu FC got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Gonzales. Adrian Goizeder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evelio Diaz having to make a save. Moscu FC's Evelio Diaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Lawrence in the 22nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Moscu FC defense, Adrian Goizeder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evelio Diaz. The Moscu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evelio Diaz should have stopped the shot. Nunez Lawrence recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Moscu FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Eloy Gonzales hit a great ball. Racing Club's Isidoro Beat couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Moscu FC. Racing Club's Esteban Mazuste proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. Eloy Gonzales's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esteban Mazuste read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. If Adrian Goizeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Reynaldo Eneas came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Moscu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Eneas couldn't finish the play. After the first half Racing Club were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Esteban Mazuste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Aritza in the 52nd minute of play. Ildefonso Aritza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Mazuste having to interfere. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Reynaldo Eneas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteban Mazuste. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteban Mazuste should have stopped the shot. 1-2 became the score in the 63rd minute when Adrian Goizeder elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 67th minute of the match Conrado Marko shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Esteban Mazuste showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reynaldo Eneas in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteban Mazuste saved Racing Club from getting behind. After having played for 72 minutes, Ildefonso Aritza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moscu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ildefonso Aritza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nunez Lawrence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Moscu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Argoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Ildefonso Aritza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteban Mazuste came out of the goal and Ildefonso Aritza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ildefonso Aritza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Mazuste having to interfere. If Ildefonso Aritza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Moscu FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Racing Club's performance. The match ended with a win for Racing Club.
