When Maximo Bertin came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Boca juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximo Bertin couldn't finish the play. Feliciano Petri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Irrintzi having to interfere. If Feliciano Petri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A nice corner shot did that Feliciano Petri got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abelardo Irrintzi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. PAMPAS FUTBOL CLUB's Abelardo Irrintzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Petri in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind PAMPAS FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Abelardo Irrintzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Fabian Castel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Feliciano Petri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Maximo Bertin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abelardo Irrintzi. PAMPAS FUTBOL CLUB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximo Bertin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, PAMPAS FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Rami came free, but Abelardo Irrintzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo Irrintzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Bertin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximo Bertin struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Abelardo Irrintzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca juniors. Feliciano Petri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilfredo Suarez hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half Boca juniors were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Feliciano Petri was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Feliciano Petri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliciano Petri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Irrintzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Elvio Rami came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Boca juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvio Rami couldn't finish the play. 75 minutes into the match, PAMPAS FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Abelardo Irrintzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabian Castel. In the 80th minute Dalmacio Jayvier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pastor Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, PAMPAS FUTBOL CLUB's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fabian Castel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Elvio Rami came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Boca juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvio Rami couldn't finish the play. Gualterio Ospetsu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abelardo Irrintzi having to make a save.
