Feliciano Petri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boca juniors's Maximo Bertin got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Boca juniors's Pastor Peio got control of the ball when Gaston Gimenez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximo Pepillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximo Bertin went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Maximo Pepillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Castel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Veto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gualterio Ospetsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 43 minutes, Gualterio Ospetsu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualterio Ospetsu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gualterio Ospetsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Maximo Pepillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fabian Castel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Maximo Bertin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximo Bertin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Pepillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

After a rather tough play, Heroes del Silencio FC's Denis Acosta got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Feliciano Petri hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Alfonso Terciero's late challenge caught a Boca juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pastor Peio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Acosta in the 82nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliciano Petri got free with Maximo Pepillo in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
