The Puerta de Hierro fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Puerta de Hierro's Severino Nerio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fabio Karmel kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Severino Nerio suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 17 minutes into the game, one of Trelew F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After having played for 23 minutes, Aldo Sandaili managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trelew F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Sandaili was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 27 minutes, Aldo Sandaili made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Puerta de Hierro's Augusto Casomiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabricio Salomone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Trelew F.C's goalkeeper Aristides Santxol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabricio Salomone got free with Aristides Santxol in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabricio Salomone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Aristides Santxol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabricio Salomone to strike the kick off in the second half. Justo Orlo's late challenge caught a Puerta de Hierro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justo Orlo helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Trelew F.C got a freekick which was hit by Justo Orlo. Cosme Montez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Aristides Santxol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gerónimo Txerran fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Puerta de Hierro's protests and gave Gerónimo Txerran a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, one of Puerta de Hierro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Puerta de Hierro. Aristides Santxol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Tallia in the 68th minute of play. Fabricio Salomone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aristides Santxol having to make a save. Augusto Casomiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Sandaili in the 87th minute of the match. Honorato Tallia hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Trelew F.C's Baltasar Abecia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 92nd minute, Aldo Sandaili got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Fabricio Salomone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puerta de Hierro's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabricio Salomone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aristides Santxol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 98 played minutes Puerta de Hierro got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Tallia. Benjamin Reynardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Augusto Casomiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Puerta de Hierro fully deserved thier win.
