Spectators: 7261 (Terracing: 5447, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hector Abel got the match started through his kick off. After 6 minutes, Feliberto Mikelar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chapanay FC and the ASCO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chapanay FC's Danny Brotherton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Lorien in the 24th minute of play. Leon Ireno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Irrintzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Leon Ireno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Irrintzi in the 30th minute of the match. Edgardo Irrintzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leon Ireno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Irrintzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bernardo Botello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Leon Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Abel in the 53rd minute of play. If Hector Abel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ASCO FC's Bernardo Botello got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfonso Lorien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Brotherton having to interfere. When ASCO FC's Bernardo Botello in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chapanay FC's goalie prevented a goal. Edgardo Irrintzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edgardo Irrintzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Hector Abel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leon Ireno. That made the score 0-1 in the 76 minute of play. Hector Abel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Leon Ireno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Hector Abel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chapanay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Abel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Ireno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Feliberto Mikelar got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 89 played minutes Chapanay FC got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Mikelar. Danny Brotherton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Botello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Lorien in the 95th minute of play forced Chapanay FC's goalkeeper Danny Brotherton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Chapanay FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chapanay FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
