Fidel Txartiko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Patricio Colon made a huge save. After having played for 28 minutes, Fidel Txartiko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gowland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Txartiko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 minutes of play, Guampacha AFC's Gabriel Ponciano made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Etxeberri was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hermengildo Restu struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Patricio Colon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gowland. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
