In the 9th minute of the match, Bernardo Botello got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lorenzo Danel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lorenzo Danel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Lorien in the 10th minute of play. In the 14th minute Alfonso Lorien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Danel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Leo Santelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Leon Ireno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 18 minutes into the match, Bernardo Botello notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Deportivo Pan Dulce's Lorenzo Danel. Lorenzo Danel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernardo Botello's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Everardo Erramun struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Leon Ireno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Pan Dulce. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
