Alejandro Lapurdi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 9th minute, Gaudencio Colas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santos Furman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejandro Lapurdi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Alejandro Lapurdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Estebano in the 12th minute of the match. CITY's Alejandro Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Honesto in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Silvano Estebano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alejandro Lapurdi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 27th minute Silvano Estebano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Lapurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernabe Jaunzuria did an outstanding performance 30 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-3 to the right of an irritated Zacarias Azevedo in the goal. Alejandro Lapurdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Estebano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in L.P. CITY's zone, Silvano Estebano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejandro Lapurdi came out of the goal and Silvano Estebano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. L.P. CITY's Alejandro Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Estebano in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Corralito AFC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cecilio Oto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonides Lop got free with Alejandro Lapurdi in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd minute Leonides Lop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Lapurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Corralito AFC's Silvano Estebano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Leonides Lop made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 59thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Alejandro Lapurdi would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Silvano Estebano might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alejandro Lapurdi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvano Estebano ran back to his position shaking his head. If Leonides Lop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CITY's attentive Cecilio Oto managed to snatch the ball when Eliseo Pelayo made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. In the 78th match minute, Corralito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Bermudez to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute Bernabe Jaunzuria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Nahia hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, L.P. CITY's Santos Chuse tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alejandro Lapurdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Estebano, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. L.P. CITY's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Silvano Estebano scored to the left of an out of position Alejandro Lapurdi, making the score, 1-5. The Corralito AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Corralito AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
