In the 11th minute, Bartolo Llope left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Pibes Regresan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Maximiliano Cresenciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Nestor Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Mero kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Los Pibes Regresan's goalkeeper Nestor Elizardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Cresenciano. The crowd rose to their feet as La suela del fulvencito's Roberto Sidro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nestor Elizardo. That made the score 1-1 after 25 minutes of play. Los Pibes Regresan's Nestor Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Sidro in the 29th minute of play. Roberto Sidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Elizardo having to interfere. Nestor Elizardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Sidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Sidro in the 37th minute of play forced Los Pibes Regresan's goalkeeper Nestor Elizardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rdth minute of the game Roberto Sidro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Pibes Regresan's Nestor Elizardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Ospetsu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damian Mel charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience was convinced that Maximiliano Cresenciano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestor Elizardo was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Roberto Sidro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Elizardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 86th minute Maximiliano Cresenciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Pibes Regresan's Edgardo Cordarin got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Edgardo Cordarin off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Cresenciano in the 97th minute of play forced Los Pibes Regresan's goalkeeper Nestor Elizardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 100 minutes into the match, Los Pibes Regresan's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Sidro came free, but Nestor Elizardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
