Cornelio Harri hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Jairo Oroitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasio Gym JM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Oroitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Fidel Isidor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimnasio Gym JM's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Isidor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Iban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the match, Sunchal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Abarca came free, but Bernardo Iban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Jairo Oroitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Iban was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Gimnasio Gym JM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sunchal FC the free kick. A collision led to Gimnasio Gym JM getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Danilo Naelio hit a great ball. The Sunchal FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Gimnasio Gym JM to win.
