Santiago Leocadio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Honrio in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in delsco's zone, Ruben Honrio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Leocadio came out of the goal and Ruben Honrio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Bartolo Eate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sunchal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolo Eate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when German Lain got free with Bernardo Iban in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Santo Millan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute of the match, Ruben Honrio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Santiago Leocadio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Santiago Leocadio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Koldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Bartolo Eate came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Sunchal FC fans jumped to their feet. Bartolo Eate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, delsco's Melquiades Mendez got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
