Clemente Chinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, academia's Virgilio Cristofol broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Geronimo Chesus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ambrosio Dominix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Caitano in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Oscar Caitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Dominix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, academia's Geronimo Chesus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ambrosio Dominix made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nemesio Palos during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nemesio Palos kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 41st minute Geronimo Chesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Dominix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Jerrald in the 43rd minute of play forced academia's goalkeeper Aureliano Pudes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Christian Perutxo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. academia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ROMAN-TICOS the free kick. A collision led to academia getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Christian Perutxo hit a great ball. During the 47th minute of the match Christian Perutxo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Christian Perutxo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of ROMAN-TICOS booed when academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Perutxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aureliano Pudes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 48th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ruben Criston.

If Isidro Jerrald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Ambrosio Dominix managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when academia's Oscar Caitano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aureliano Pudes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Jerrald, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The supporters of ROMAN-TICOS booed when academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Chesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes in the game, Isidro Jerrald dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 69th minute, Erubiel Soter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Isidro Jerrald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes, Roque Nicholas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ROMAN-TICOS and the academia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, ROMAN-TICOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Nicholas to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, academia's Oscar Caitano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ambrosio Dominix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Isidro Jerrald cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Erubiel Soter managed to get in a good position for a shot. ROMAN-TICOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Erubiel Soter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aureliano Pudes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. academia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
