Spectators: 6765 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gogo Steven took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in gimnasia y esgrima LP's zone, Tomás Mincho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Tavio came out of the goal and Tomás Mincho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Castellino Futbol Club fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Castellino Futbol Club's Enrique Gilesindo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Mincho in the 14th minute of play forced gimnasia y esgrima LP's goalkeeper Marcelino Tavio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Mincho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelino Tavio having to make a save. With a little luck, Castellino Futbol Club's Arnaldo Ferdinand got control of the ball when Gogo Steven tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomás Mincho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Marcelino Tavio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelino Tavio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Mincho in the 31st minute of play. Enrique Gilesindo took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelino Tavio. Marcelino Tavio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. gimnasia y esgrima LP's Marcelino Tavio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Mincho in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Castellino Futbol Club's Enrique Gilesindo got a free kick in the 40th minute. Alfonso Emmanuel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Arnaldo Ferdinand skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Edelmiro Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrique Gilesindo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Castellino Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Gauargi. gimnasia y esgrima LP's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Enrique Gilesindo scored to the left of an out of position Marcelino Tavio, making the score, 0-3. Marcelino Tavio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Mincho in the 58th minute. In the 61st match minute, gimnasia y esgrima LP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Ugaitz to maneuver through the defense. Marcelino Tavio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Gilesindo in the 68th minute of play. Marcelino Tavio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Gilesindo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enrique Gilesindo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Castellino Futbol Club's Edelmiro Perez got a free kick in the 79th minute. Enrique Gilesindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Tavio having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filomeno Gauargi during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes Castellino Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Gauargi. Arnaldo Ferdinand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Emmanuel, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The supporters of gimnasia y esgrima LP booed when Castellino Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Gauargi didn't get a good kick on the ball. gimnasia y esgrima LP's Ruperto Cuarto couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Castellino Futbol Club. Aaron Calixto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelino Tavio. gimnasia y esgrima LP's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The gimnasia y esgrima LP fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Castellino Futbol Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
