In the 20th minute, Geronimo Chesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oscar Caitano struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Florencio Aimar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for academia. Octavio Loi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Aureliano Pudes made a huge save. In the 34th minute, Oscar Caitano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The academia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Aureliano Pudes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Llin in the 44th minute of play. academia's Christian Perutxo suffered a concussion after 44 minutes and had to leave the field. In the 45th match minute, Sunchal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Frasco to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 53rd match minute, academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Tabor to maneuver through the defense. Octavio Loi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aureliano Pudes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Feliberto Llin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aureliano Pudes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 64 minutes into the game, Ladislao Regis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Florencio Aimar. Ladislao Regis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. If Octavio Loi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute, Feliberto Llin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Octavio Loi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aureliano Pudes came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Sunchal AFC's Feliberto Llin. But to his dismay, Feliberto Llin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Octavio Loi might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aureliano Pudes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Octavio Loi ran back to his position shaking his head.
