After 2 minutes, Miguel Jacob mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los buitres and the Sunchal AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Miguel Jacob hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Roman Javiero hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Guillermo Nahia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Llin in the 5th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Octavio Loi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillermo Nahia was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Guillermo Nahia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliberto Llin, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Guillermo Nahia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octavio Loi's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Miguel Jacob hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Guillermo Nahia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Loi in the 14th minute of play. Los buitres's Teobaldo Raebert got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Los buitres's Teobaldo Raebert in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sunchal AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Teobaldo Raebert might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florencio Aimar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teobaldo Raebert ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Sunchal AFC's Feliberto Llin got a free kick in the 35th minute. Los buitres's Arnaldo Bernard got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sunchal AFC's zone, Teobaldo Raebert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Aimar came out of the goal and Teobaldo Raebert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, Sunchal AFC's goalkeeper Florencio Aimar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnaldo Bernard. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teobaldo Raebert made a kick off. Florencio Aimar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Raebert in the 55th minute of play. Arnaldo Bernard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sunchal AFC's Florencio Aimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Raebert in the 65th minute of play. Octavio Loi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Feliberto Llin came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Sunchal AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliberto Llin couldn't finish the play. If Octavio Loi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Bernard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Florencio Aimar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Arnaldo Bernard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los buitres's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Bernard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florencio Aimar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Octavio Loi came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Guillermo Nahia could save by the left post. 90 minutes into the match, Sunchal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Bernard came free, but Florencio Aimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florencio Aimar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Raebert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes Sunchal AFC got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Mateus. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sunchal AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Los buitres.
