Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Benjamin Sugoi made the kick off which started today's match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidro Erdiano in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvio Rumaldo saved Taringa FC from getting behind. Isidro Erdiano took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvio Rumaldo. Silvio Rumaldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Eliseo Peli was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Domingos Fernandez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Domingos Fernandez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After 20th play minutes Wilfredo Ceandro shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Silvio Rumaldo and just under the crossbar into goal. Isidro Celino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Peli having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Taringa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Erdiano came free, but Silvio Rumaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvio Rumaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Erdiano in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Mercedes's Eliseo Peli got control of the ball when Domingos Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Benjamin Sugoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mercedes's Eliseo Peli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bartolo Txerran during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bartolo Txerran kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes Taringa FC got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Txerran. Isidro Erdiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Rumaldo having to interfere. Marcos Bidari charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 43rd match minute, Taringa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Bidari to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Ceandro in the 44th minute of play forced Taringa FC's goalkeeper Silvio Rumaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Taringa FC's Luisito Nalo got a free kick in the 45th minute. Isidro Erdiano struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Silvio Rumaldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercedes. After the first half Mercedes were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidro Erdiano made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Wilfredo Ceandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Rumaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mercedes's Wilfredo Ceandro got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 62 minutes, Domingos Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taringa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Fernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidro Celino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilfredo Ceandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Rumaldo having to interfere. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Mercedes's Isidro Erdiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvio Rumaldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Mercedes booed when Taringa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiberto Arixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilfredo Ceandro might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvio Rumaldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfredo Ceandro ran back to his position shaking his head. Domingos Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Eliseo Peli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the game, Baltasar Soter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mercedes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taringa FC the free kick.
