Amador Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Bordat in the 6th minute of play. Jeremias Martxots short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Gilberto Vito to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Gaypón AFC's Everardo Sagrario in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atletico Palo Alto's goalie prevented a goal. Anacleto Bordat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Amador Telesforo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Palo Alto's Roberto Bonadona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Vito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Atletico Palo Alto's Roberto Bonadona got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Bordat in the 25th minute of play forced Club Atletico Palo Alto's goalkeeper Amador Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everardo Sagrario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 46th minute of the match, Ildefonso Etxatxu sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Amador Telesforo showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Marciano Luzaide made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anacleto Bordat got free with Amador Telesforo in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ambrosio Herrera charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ambrosio Herrera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62nd play minutes Roberto Bonadona shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Gilberto Vito and just under the crossbar into goal. After 65 played minutes Club Atletico Palo Alto got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Martxot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Everardo Sagrario in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amador Telesforo saved Club Atletico Palo Alto from getting behind. Everardo Sagrario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Telesforo having to interfere. Everardo Sagrario struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Amador Telesforo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaypón AFC. Club Atletico Palo Alto's Ambrosio Herrera got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Ambrosio Herrera off the ground. In the 77th minute, Ambrosio Herrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Marciano Luzaide came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Club Atletico Palo Alto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marciano Luzaide couldn't finish the play. Jeremias Martxot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Gilberto Vito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ildefonso Etxatxu during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club Atletico Palo Alto booed when Gaypón AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Etxatxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 played minutes, Club Atletico Palo Alto's Generoso Jenaro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilberto Vito came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atletico Palo Alto reached it. When Ildefonso Etxatxu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. After a defensive mix-up in Gaypón AFC's zone, Roberto Bonadona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Vito came out of the goal and Roberto Bonadona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anacleto Bordat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Amador Telesforo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Anacleto Bordat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Club Atletico Palo Alto's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
