After 42 played minutes Club Atletico Palo Alto got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Martxot. The wind increased when Marciano Luzaide made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquilino Vergaray in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amador Telesforo saved Club Atletico Palo Alto from getting behind. After having played for 72 minutes, Remigio Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 09-12-18 Winter Plate FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amador Telesforo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Palo Alto's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Vergaray came free, but Amador Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Remigio Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 09-12-18 Winter Plate FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
