Spectators: 6907 (Terracing: 5407, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) CASTELAR FC's Genaro Peruanton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, CASTELAR FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Diegotxe to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, CASTELAR FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Paul came free, but Alejandro Leizarraga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Deportivo Liniers's Jesus Guib in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CASTELAR FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 13 minutes of play, Deportivo Liniers's Victor Paul made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alejandro Leizarraga was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Carolo Cordarrel came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the CASTELAR FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carolo Cordarrel couldn't finish the play. Victor Paul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Alejandro Leizarraga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in CASTELAR FC's zone, Jesus Guib stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejandro Leizarraga came out of the goal and Jesus Guib tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 minutes, Rene Diegotxe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CASTELAR FC and the Deportivo Liniers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, CASTELAR FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Diegotxe to maneuver through the defense. Victor Paul took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejandro Leizarraga. Alejandro Leizarraga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Alejandro Leizarraga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Paul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alejandro Leizarraga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Guib, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Deportivo Liniers were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Paul was the one to do the kick off. Justo Jayvier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Peruanton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Genaro Peruanton put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Justo Jayvier. Victor Paul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro Leizarraga having to interfere. Jesus Guib could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Alejandro Leizarraga made a huge save. When Vicente Vasco fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Liniers's protests and gave Vicente Vasco a yellow card for diving instead. Genaro Peruanton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Jayvier having to interfere. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CASTELAR FC! If Genaro Peruanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 98th minute Carolo Cordarrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Jayvier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejandro Leizarraga made a fantastic save in the 100th minute, when Jesus Guib sent off a good shot on target. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Deportivo Liniers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
