Ildefonso Etxatxu charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Esquipula in the 12th minute of play forced Gaypón AFC's goalkeeper Gilberto Vito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Rojelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Sagrario in the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Newpi's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Sagrario came free, but Donato Rojelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 played minutes Gaypón AFC got a freekick which was hit by Amado Cordarrell. When Ildefonso Etxatxu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 24 minutes had been played. Ildefonso Etxatxu hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Gilberto Vito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Esquipula, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Javier Isadore left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newpi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Donato Rojelio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anacleto Bordat in the 35th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Newpi's goalkeeper Donato Rojelio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anacleto Bordat. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Anacleto Bordat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Rojelio having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Gaypón AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Esquipula came free, but Gilberto Vito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Javier Isadore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 played minutes Bernardino Esquipula rounded Gaypón AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. 95 minutes into the game, Newpi's Javier Isadore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Vito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Newpi had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
