The corner led Malvinas FC's Cayetano Fernandez to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Vasconcelos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Román Cardona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Placido Gomez. Malvinas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Román Cardona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Román Cardona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17thth minute of the game Román Cardona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malvinas FC's Placido Gomez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Malvinas FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Basilio Raphael hit a great ball. Placido Gomez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Román Cardona in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of El Fortin booed when Malvinas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Raphael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Loco's late challenge caught a Malvinas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melquiades Loco helped the player get up and apologised. Melquiades Loco hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andres Elizardo in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Placido Gomez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Hugo Lorien came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Malvinas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Lorien couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the game, Andres Elizardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Placido Gomez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Román Cardona to strike the kick off in the second half. Placido Gomez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andres Elizardo in the 56th minute. Carlos Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Rubio, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Andres Elizardo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Placido Gomez came out and tried to block the shot, but Andres Elizardo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 61st minute. Tomas Gotzon hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Basilio Raphael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the game, Román Cardona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Placido Gomez. Román Cardona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. With 75 minutes on the clock, Jaime Herauso commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 76 played minutes El Fortin got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Herauso. Carlos Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Jusepe in the 79th minute of the match. Carlos Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Jusepe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Placido Gomez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Elizardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 96 minutes into the game, Andres Elizardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
