After a defensive mix-up in El Gran Chaná's zone, Nicasio Benitez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Moise came out of the goal and Nicasio Benitez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicasio Benitez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Moise having to interfere. Virgilio Moise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Benitez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicasio Benitez in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Moise prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Virgilio Moise made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isaac Savier in the 31st minute. With a little luck, El Gran Chaná's Virgilio Moise got control of the ball when Isaac Savier tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 32 played minutes El Gran Chaná got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Vedillo. After having played for 35 minutes, Hilario Bertran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Gran Chaná's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilario Bertran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hilario Bertran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Iago having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Hilario Bertran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th match minute, Espíritus Chocarreros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Hulberto to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lorenzo Gaitano to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Maties during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilberto Maties hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Hilario Bertran got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jose Iago was a little too slow when Lorenzo Gaitano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-2. Hilario Bertran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Iago having to interfere. With a little luck, Espíritus Chocarreros's Jose Iago got control of the ball when Hilario Bertran tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Nicasio Benitez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Isaac Savier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espíritus Chocarreros's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Savier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Moise breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lorenzo Gaitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristobal Vincent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Espíritus Chocarreros's Isaac Savier got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The El Gran Chaná players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
