Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marcos Jusepe took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Malvinas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Mendez came free, but Placido Gomez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Jusepe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Malvinas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Justino Stephen was slow to take the kick. During this time GUAYMALLEN's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Niceto Mendez advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-0 in the 12th minute. Placido Gomez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Mendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Malvinas FC's goalkeeper Placido Gomez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Urbes. Niceto Mendez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Placido Gomez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justino Stephen's late challenge caught a Malvinas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justino Stephen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, GUAYMALLEN's Justino Stephen got a free kick in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Malvinas FC's Marcos Jusepe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavio Quintan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Placido Gomez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Mendez in the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Malvinas FC's zone, Niceto Mendez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Placido Gomez came out of the goal and Niceto Mendez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 played minutes Malvinas FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Gotzon. In the 40th minute, Justino Stephen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Malvinas FC's Placido Gomez didn't even have to move. After having played for 41 minutes, Niceto Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GUAYMALLEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niceto Mendez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marcos Jusepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute Teodosio Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Quintan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Rodrigo Urbes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Gomez having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Leonardo Frantzes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes GUAYMALLEN got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Bemabe. Malvinas FC's Cayetano Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Placido Gomez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Urbes in the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Rodrigo Urbes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GUAYMALLEN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Mendez in the 74th minute of play forced Malvinas FC's goalkeeper Placido Gomez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82ndth minute of the game Rodrigo Urbes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malvinas FC's Placido Gomez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Placido Gomez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Urbes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niceto Mendez struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Placido Gomez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GUAYMALLEN. After 89 played minutes Malvinas FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Frantzes. Placido Gomez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Mendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Niceto Mendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Gomez having to interfere. GUAYMALLEN's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
