If Eriberto Izotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casimiro Menendo made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Primitivo Pedroso immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Izotz in the 15th minute of play forced FC Schalke 04's goalkeeper Fulgencio Jaizki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Verónica FC's Pablo Palos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Casimiro Menendo, made in the 18th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Verónica FC's Jorge Silviano got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Verónica FC were furious when Arturo Casomiro was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Verónica FC! When the match had been going on for 26 minutes, FC Schalke 04's Angelo Nisio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Epifanio Olo. Ezequiel Honesto hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Mikelar during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, one of FC Schalke 04:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Schalke 04. The referee gave Verónica FC a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Casimiro Domenec, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Schalke 04's Fulgencio Jaizki. 1-1. In the 37th minute, Eriberto Izotz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pablo Palos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Jaizki having to interfere. Pablo Palos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fulgencio Jaizki having to make a save. That made the score 1-4 in the 71 minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Casimiro Domenec cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Fulgencio Jaizki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 84 minutes of play FC Schalke 04's Reynaldo Ferman was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Verónica FC booed when FC Schalke 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Ferman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Casimiro Domenec managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verónica FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Casimiro Domenec was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Jaizki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clodoveo Frisco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Fulgencio Jaizki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Schalke 04 booed when Verónica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Silviano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FC Schalke 04 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Verónica FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
