Spectators: 7010 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) FC Schalke 04's Cristobal Koldo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, VILLALONGA's Blas Veremundo got a free kick in the 4th minute. Fulgencio Jaizki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Maties, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Filomeno Galsino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulgencio Jaizki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Gerardo Froylan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VILLALONGA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Schalke 04 the free kick. In the 15thth minute of the game Cristobal Koldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VILLALONGA's Leonel Lobo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristobal Koldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Leonel Lobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristobal Koldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Lobo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Koldo in the 29th minute of play forced VILLALONGA's goalkeeper Leonel Lobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cristobal Koldo came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the FC Schalke 04 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Koldo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Maties in the 37th minute of play forced FC Schalke 04's goalkeeper Fulgencio Jaizki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filomeno Galsinos short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Fulgencio Jaizki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cristobal Koldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Lobo having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 51 minutes, Roman Modestio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VILLALONGA and the FC Schalke 04 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roman Modestio kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Leonel Lobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Koldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Cristobal Koldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Leonel Lobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. VILLALONGA's Desiderio Maties got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Desiderio Maties had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristobal Koldo in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Lobo saved VILLALONGA from getting behind. Cristobal Koldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Lobo having to interfere. Blas Veremundo's late challenge caught a FC Schalke 04's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blas Veremundo helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes VILLALONGA got a freekick which was hit by Blas Veremundo. Cristobal Koldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, VILLALONGA's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Koldo came free, but Leonel Lobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Galsino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fulgencio Jaizki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Galsino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonel Lobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Koldo in the 95th minute of play.
