Narciso Romildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Onofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Martin Onofre struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Narciso Romildo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo El Cid. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Onofre in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narciso Romildo saved Cuchame Posho from getting behind. Fausto Natanael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Abilio in the 16th minute of play. Deportivo El Cid's Fausto Natanael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Abilio in the 19th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Isidoro Taurino took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Narciso Romildo to make any attempt to save it. But to his dismay, Martin Onofre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Cuchame Posho's zone, Martin Onofre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Romildo came out of the goal and Martin Onofre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Martin Onofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Natanael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustin Bide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
