In the 6thth minute of the game Martin Onofre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vizards's Jonathan Erramu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Deportivo El Cid booed when Vizards was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverio Hernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Gorostis short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Fausto Natanael to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Erramu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Onofre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Erramu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Onofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Martin Onofre came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Deportivo El Cid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Onofre couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute of the match Deportivo El Cid got a corner. Vizards's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Americo Tibalt ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Americo Tibalt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vizards's Jonathan Erramu did a great save. In the 45th minute Martin Onofre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Erramu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Marcelino Fernandez made the kick off in the second half. If Marcelino Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The Vizards fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Deportivo El Cid were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
