Simon Remicio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 7th minute. Rosario Balompié 1889's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 8 minutes, Iker Fidele mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Volcán and the Rosario Balompié 1889 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Volcán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Fidele to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Rosario Balompié 1889 booed when Volcán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Baristo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arsenio Garoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Pablo Abeitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pablo Abeitia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simon Remicio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. When Omar Urritz came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Volcán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Urritz couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the match, Rosario Balompié 1889's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Urritz came free, but Nicolas Ledesma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes, Abel Ruisko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosario Balompié 1889 and the Volcán players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rosario Balompié 1889's goalkeeper Nicolas Ledesma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elias Macario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Ledesma having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Rosario Balompié 1889's Sergio Guillem sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pablo Abeitia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marciano Osoitz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nicolas Ledesma. Rosario Balompié 1889's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Rosario Balompié 1889 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Urdin to maneuver through the defense. Simon Remicio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Macario in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Ledesma saved Rosario Balompié 1889 from getting behind. Rosario Balompié 1889's Nicolas Ledesma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Macario in the 60th minute of play. After 60 played minutes Rosario Balompié 1889 got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Guillem. Nicolas Ledesma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Macario in the 66th minute of play. Alberto Guifre charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Guifre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Volcán's Alberto Guifre got a free kick in the 67th minute. Augusto Tajo lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Volcán fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Rosario Balompié 1889. Roberto Porfirio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pablo Abeitia. 1-1. 77 minutes into the match, Volcán's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Remicio came free, but Pablo Abeitia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Arsenio Garoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Ledesma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omar Urritz in the 82nd minute. Omar Urritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Ledesma made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Omar Urritz sent off a good shot on target. Volcán's Alberto Guifre pulled a muscle in his leg after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Sergio Guillem fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosario Balompié 1889's protests and gave Sergio Guillem a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rosario Balompié 1889 getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Abel Ruisko hit a great ball. Nicolas Ledesma made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Elpidio Baristo sent off a good shot on target.
