Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Elias Macario took the kick off in the first half of the match. Haroldo Orland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Abeitia having to interfere. Elias Macario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Macario in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erubiel Obeko saved SMITH FC from getting behind. A collision led to Volcán getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Elpidio Baristo hit a great ball. Pablo Abeitia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Orland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Montae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Abeitia having to interfere. Justino Montae received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Pablo Abeitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo Orland in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pablo Abeitia saved Volcán from getting behind. Elias Macario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Volcán's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Montae came free, but Pablo Abeitia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Elias Macario came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Volcán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Macario couldn't finish the play. After having played for 44 minutes, Omar Urritz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Volcán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Urritz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute Elias Macario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Obeko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Orland to make the kick off. SMITH FC's Erubiel Obeko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Macario in the 58th minute of play. Justino Montae recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute, Augusto Tajo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justino Montae got free with Pablo Abeitia in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute, Florentino Goiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erubiel Obeko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Urritz in the 77th minute of play. Erubiel Obeko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Macario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Macario in the 95th minute of play forced SMITH FC's goalkeeper Erubiel Obeko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
