The referee ignored Parque Norte's protests and gave Silvestre Lauaxeta a yellow card for diving instead. Silvestre Lauaxeta hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Choto FC's Leo Precioso got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Parque Norte's goalkeeper Marcial Pere had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Tadzio. Gerardo Abad hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Parque Norte's Silvestre Lauaxeta got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 35 minutes, Fabio Camerino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Choto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Camerino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 played minutes, Parque Norte's Arturo Maju shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ariel Napier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Parque Norte reached it. If Gerardo Abad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

53 minutes into the match, Abelardo Tadzio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcial Pere. Parque Norte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelardo Tadzio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A hard shot by Silverio Vela from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Ariel Napier's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 60 minutes into the match, Parque Norte's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Tadzio came free, but Marcial Pere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Parque Norte's Reynaldo Nardo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Choto FC's Ariel Napier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Choto FC from getting a goal against them. If Silvestre Lauaxeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Silvestre Lauaxeta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ariel Napier. Choto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvestre Lauaxeta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 82nd minute of the match Bernabe Lamberto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ariel Napier skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Gerardo Abad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parque Norte's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Abad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Napier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Gaston Godoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gerardo Abad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvestre Lauaxeta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Ariel Napier when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Parque Norte supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Parque Norte would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
