Spectators: 7170 (Terracing: 5411, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Haroldo Orland got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Vander United's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Orland came free, but Gustavo Uzuri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th match minute, SMITH FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Cordearo to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, one of SMITH FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SMITH FC. SMITH FC's Erubiel Obeko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Gorosti in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Vander United's Anibal Gorosti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erubiel Obeko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Ubaldo Justin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vander United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubaldo Justin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erubiel Obeko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22ndth minute of the game Anibal Gorosti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SMITH FC's Erubiel Obeko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anibal Gorosti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haroldo Orland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Uzuri having to interfere. Ubaldo Justin scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erubiel Obeko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the match, Vander United's goalkeeper Gustavo Uzuri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justino Montae. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vander United's goalkeeper Gustavo Uzuri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Haroldo Orland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Uzuri having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Conrado Casomiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes in the game, Justino Montae dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Anibal Gorosti made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Haroldo Orland made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Vander United's Gustavo Uzuri tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Justino Montae received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Gustavo Uzuri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vander United's zone, Justino Montae stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Uzuri came out of the goal and Justino Montae tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Anibal Gorosti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubaldo Justin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 89th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Erubiel Obeko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Gorosti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubaldo Justin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Erubiel Obeko made a huge save. Romeo Matei kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Vander United's Ubaldo Justin got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Vander United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vander United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
