One of VILLA MITRE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Luzuriaga:s goal. When Erik Lamela came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the VILLA MITRE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Lamela couldn't finish the play. Desiderio Oliverio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Lamela in the 35th minute. Damazy Ciszewski struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Desiderio Oliverio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VILLA MITRE. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Vince de Pelsmaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. VILLA MITRE's supporters rose to their feet, but Vince de Pelsmaker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Desiderio Oliverio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Desiderio Oliverio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damazy Ciszewski's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Desiderio Oliverio made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Erik Lamela sent off a good shot on target. Damazy Ciszewski might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Desiderio Oliverio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damazy Ciszewski ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th minute, Erik Lamela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damazy Ciszewski was the one to do the kick off. Damazy Ciszewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Desiderio Oliverio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erik Lamela in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Desiderio Oliverio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Teodosio Theobald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Erik Lamela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luzuriaga's Desiderio Oliverio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damazy Ciszewski in the 72nd minute of play. Teodosio Theobald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iago Aspås hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Adolfo Aritza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Ortiz having to interfere. Teodosio Theobald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Moises Goyo struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Walter Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luzuriaga.
