Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 4) 7 minutes into the game, Luzuriaga's Moises Goyo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apolo Enmanuel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 13 minutes, Tadeo Cortez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Famaillá and the Luzuriaga players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Famaillá got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Cortez. Famaillá's Apolo Enmanuel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Aritza in the 19th minute of play. Moises Goyo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apolo Enmanuel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Luzuriaga getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Adolfo Aritza hit a great ball. Desiderio Oliverio didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 22nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Jonas Gumaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Luzuriaga's Moises Goyo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Enmanuel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adolfo Aritza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Apolo Enmanuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaspar Opilano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Apolo Enmanuel didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Moises Goyo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Aritza got free with Apolo Enmanuel in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gaspar Opilano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Madeo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Desiderio Oliverio. Luzuriaga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Apolo Enmanuel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nestor Tipi. Desiderio Oliverio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Opilano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteban Oier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Oliverio having to interfere. Ermegildo Gonsalve, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Famaillá's zone, Moises Goyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Enmanuel came out of the goal and Moises Goyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
