Aquilino Otsando came out of the goal and Ermegildo Gonsalve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aquilino Otsando was a little too slow when Moises Goyo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Marlboro F.C.'s Aquilino Otsando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Goyo in the 14th minute of play. Marcelo Guerau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Desiderio Oliverio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timoteo Blai struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Desiderio Oliverio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marlboro F.C.. If Adolfo Aritza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Marlboro F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adolfo Aritza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Marcos Marino charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Marino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Marcos Marino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Marlboro F.C. getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Tomas Bartoleme hit a great ball. Adolfo Aritza hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Luzuriaga's zone, Timoteo Blai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desiderio Oliverio came out of the goal and Timoteo Blai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Timoteo Blai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Aritza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Otsando having to interfere. A collision led to Marlboro F.C. getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Marcos Marino hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Moises Goyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Otsando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 50th match minute, Luzuriaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Vito to maneuver through the defense. Timoteo Blai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Goyo in the 64th minute of play forced Marlboro F.C.'s goalkeeper Aquilino Otsando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timoteo Blai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Oliverio having to interfere. Marcelo Guerau might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Desiderio Oliverio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Guerau ran back to his position shaking his head. Adolfo Aritza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aquilino Otsando having to make a save. Desiderio Oliverio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Guerau in the 92nd minute of play. Tomas Bartoleme kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Luzuriaga's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
