The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th match minute, Shen Long FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Orlo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Herminio Urti got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Shen Long FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Simon Nel hit a great ball. Herminio Urti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Luciano Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Nel's late challenge caught a Ramallo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Nel helped the player get up and apologised. Simon Nel kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Shen Long FC's Luciano Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Regis in the 37th minute of play. Gaston Silva struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Tiburcio Dalmai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shen Long FC. The supporters of Ramallo FC booed when Shen Long FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Felipillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomiro Regis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Simon Nel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th match minute, Shen Long FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Nel to maneuver through the defense. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ramallo FC reached it. Rafael Federigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 minutes, Herminio Urti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ramallo FC and the Shen Long FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 78 minutes, Gaston Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shen Long FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87thth minute of the game Herminio Urti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shen Long FC's Luciano Rodriguez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baldomiro Regis charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomiro Regis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Simon Nel hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Ramallo FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
