In the 3rdth minute of the game Guaberto Dominic who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Black Lions's Jeremias Sayveon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Pipo Palomo booed when Black Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Selatse didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute Guaberto Dominic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Sayveon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleuterio Milian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Marcos Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermegildo Laurgain took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jeremias Sayveon. Black Lions's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Felix Hunfredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes Pipo Palomo got a freekick which was hit by Roman Garikoitz. If Felix Hunfredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Hunfredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Sayveon having to interfere. Felix Hunfredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jeremias Sayveon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Efrain Ubarna to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Pipo Palomo's Guaberto Dominic nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeremias Sayveon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Efrain Ubarna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Efrain Ubarna came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Black Lions fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efrain Ubarna couldn't finish the play. After recieving a nice pass, Pipo Palomo's Nicasio Arano tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, Pipo Palomo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimiro Ekialde to maneuver through the defense. When Black Lions's Efrain Ubarna in 68 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Marcos Pueblo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After having played for 72 minutes, Guaberto Dominic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pipo Palomo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guaberto Dominic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guaberto Dominic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremias Sayveon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Dominic in the 77th minute of the match. Niceto Steven's late challenge caught a Pipo Palomo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niceto Steven helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pipo Palomo booed when Black Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Steven didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Guaberto Dominic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Black Lions's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Felix Hunfredo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Guaberto Dominic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Sayveon having to interfere. Felix Hunfredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hilario Lehoi during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
