Palo FC's Hector Veronica got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute Efrain Ubarna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Liberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinicio Xabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jeremias Sayveon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Hector Veronica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Veronica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremias Sayveon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hector Veronica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Veronica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 minutes, Eleuterio Milian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black Lions and the Palo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Palo FC booed when Black Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Milian didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Palo FC's Vinicio Xabel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremias Sayveon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Hugo Liberto, was totally fooled by Black Lions's Clodoveo Galindo, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Black Lions's Vicente Abad got a free kick in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Black Lions's zone, Melchor Javiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Sayveon came out of the goal and Melchor Javiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vinicio Xabel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santo Selatse charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santo Selatse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Black Lions getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Santo Selatse hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the match, Black Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Xabel came free, but Jeremias Sayveon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Efrain Ubarna made a kick off. When Fernando Basajaun came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Palo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Basajaun couldn't finish the play. Santo Selatse kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Eleuterio Milian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Liberto having to interfere. The long shot by Fabian Santo in the 71st minute really tested Jeremias Sayveon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 74 minutes into the match, Efrain Ubarna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Liberto. Palo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efrain Ubarna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 77 minutes into the match, Palo FC's Hector Veronica sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremias Sayveon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeremias Sayveon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Veronica, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Hector Veronica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Jeremias Sayveon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Black Lions's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
