When Fernando Basajaun fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palo FC's protests and gave Fernando Basajaun a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Fernando Basajaun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Hugo Liberto made a huge save. Alfonso Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teodosio Birjaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Hugo Liberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute of the match, Alfonso Fernandes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hugo Liberto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Virreyes FC's Teodosio Birjaio got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hector Veronica scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramiro Fanuco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30thth minute of the game Hector Veronica who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Virreyes FC's Ramiro Fanuco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodosio Birjaio got free with Hugo Liberto in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfonso Fernandes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Hugo Liberto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Palo FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Fernando Basajaun hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Teodosio Birjaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Liberto was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Benicio Indar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodosio Birjaio was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Virreyes FC's goalkeeper Ramiro Fanuco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Prospero Sayveon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th match minute, Palo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Gilesindo to maneuver through the defense. Teodosio Birjaio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hugo Liberto. Palo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The corner led Virreyes FC's Teodosio Birjaio to fire away a dangerous shot which Hugo Liberto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hector Veronica came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ramiro Fanuco could save by the left post. 64 minutes into the match, Palo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Birjaio came free, but Hugo Liberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramiro Fanuco came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Palo FC's Vinicio Xabel. But to his dismay, Vinicio Xabel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 73 minutes into the match, Virreyes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Veronica came free, but Ramiro Fanuco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Xabel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 75th playminute. Hugo Liberto came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Virreyes FC's Alfonso Fernandes. But to his dismay, Alfonso Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After having played for 84 minutes, Benicio Indar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Virreyes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benicio Indar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Benicio Indar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 95 minutes into the match, Alfonso Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Liberto. Palo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Palo FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Virreyes FC had controlled the match.
