An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisito Obeko in the 21st minute of play forced Chelsea F.C's goalkeeper Generoso Harkaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chelsea F.C's Generoso Harkaitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Chelsea F.C from getting a goal against them. Luisito Obeko's late challenge caught a Chelsea F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisito Obeko helped the player get up and apologised. Chelsea F.C's Rodolfo Jacindo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rafael Orzaize, made in the 36th minute of the game. Generoso Harkaitz was a little too slow when Arsenio Sanchez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 1-0. 47 minutes into the match, Chelsea F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Obeko came free, but Generoso Harkaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodolfo Jacindo to make the kick off. If Haroldo Perico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Ponc charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Ponc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mariano Ponc kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisito Obeko in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Generoso Harkaitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes into the game, Saavedra's Arsenio Sanchez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Generoso Harkaitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 78 minutes of play, Saavedra's Luisito Obeko made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Generoso Harkaitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Haroldo Perico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saavedra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Generoso Harkaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Sanchez in the 84th minute of play. Chelsea F.C's Generoso Harkaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Perico in the 89th minute of play. When Luisito Obeko came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Saavedra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Obeko couldn't finish the play. Rafael Orzaize hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
