The referee ignored Olympia FC's protests and gave Arturo Elixio a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes, Pasta Base FC's Teobaldo Norino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Orlando Efraim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pasta Base FC reached it. Lorenzo Maureo's late challenge caught a Pasta Base FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Maureo helped the player get up and apologised. Lorenzo Maureo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Pasta Base FC's Jacobo Dominguez tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 20 minutes, Gogo Rosalio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pasta Base FC and the Olympia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Pasta Base FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Rosalio to maneuver through the defense. Luisito Gervaso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Orkatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Salvino in the 25th minute of the match. Bonifacio Bide hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Narciso Salvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Orkatz having to interfere. When Celestino Ellande came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Pasta Base FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celestino Ellande couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the match, Celestino Ellande notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Olympia FC's Orlando Efraim. Orlando Efraim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 44 minutes into the match, Pasta Base FC's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Salvino came free, but Denis Orkatz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Casimiro Bonifaco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pasta Base FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimiro Bonifaco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 55th minute, Pasta Base FC's Casimiro Bonifaco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Orlando Efraim. Orlando Efraim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Luisito Gervaso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denis Orkatz having to make a save. Denis Orkatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Gervaso, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Bonifaco in the 67th minute of play forced Olympia FC's goalkeeper Orlando Efraim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Olympia FC's Narciso Salvino in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
