The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hilario Argider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Basualdo hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute Hilario Argider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Bieito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilario Argider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Bieito having to interfere. Guillermo Manex's late challenge caught a Los Vasquitos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Manex helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saavedra! 21 minutes into the match, Los Vasquitos FC's goalkeeper Guido Orixe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo Perico. In the 24th minute, Luisito Obeko fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Guido Orixe, passed just outside the right post. Guido Orixe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Obeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimeno Tallia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 37 minutes, Hilario Argider managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Vasquitos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilario Argider was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guido Orixe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Obeko in the 40th minute of the match. Haroldo Perico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Orixe having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Los Vasquitos FC's Jimeno Tallia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilfredo Bieito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Saavedra's Luisito Obeko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Guido Orixe. Guido Orixe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luisito Obeko to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Saavedra got a freekick which was hit by Luis Sidro. In the 57th minute, Rodrigo Basualdo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Luisito Obeko came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Saavedra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Obeko couldn't finish the play. Guido Orixe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Obeko, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 66th minute, Hilario Argider got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilfredo Bieito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimeno Tallia's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. When Rodrigo Basualdo fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saavedra's protests and gave Rodrigo Basualdo a yellow card for diving instead. Hilario Argider struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Wilfredo Bieito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Vasquitos FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Luisito Obeko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saavedra's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisito Obeko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guido Orixe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute Rafael Orzaize shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Orixe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Los Vasquitos FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
