Spectators: 7170 (Terracing: 5545, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Felix Balasi took the kick off in the first half of the match. Felix Balasi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hector Precioso having to make a save. Zeledon Hibai kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Hector Precioso came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente FC's Felix Balasi. But to his dismay, Felix Balasi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 21 played minutes Independiente FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Louis. 22 minutes into the match, Independiente FC's goalkeeper Silvio Gartzea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ismael Txeru. Independiente FC's Silvio Gartzea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Independiente FC from getting a goal against them. Silvio Gartzea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeledon Hibai's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. El triángulo FC's Hector Precioso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Padro in the 28th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Independiente FC's Felix Balasi made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hector Precioso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the game, Vladimiro Confesor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El triángulo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, El triángulo FC's Vladimiro Confesor got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 39 minutes into the match, El triángulo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Padro came free, but Hector Precioso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidio Padro in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hector Precioso saved El triángulo FC from getting behind. In the 45th minute, Zeledon Hibai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Silvio Gartzea successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Zeledon Hibai made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Confesor in the 54th minute of play forced Independiente FC's goalkeeper Silvio Gartzea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, El triángulo FC's Silverio Goiz got a free kick in the 55th minute. Zeledon Hibai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvio Gartzea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Hibai in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Zeledon Hibai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Silvio Gartzea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Balasi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute Ovidio Padro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Precioso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvio Gartzea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Hibai in the 86th minute of play. Felix Balasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hector Precioso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute of the match, Felix Balasi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hector Precioso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. El triángulo FC's Hector Precioso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save El triángulo FC from getting a goal against them. Independiente FC's Silvio Gartzea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Hibai in the 93rd minute of play.
