Edelmiro Palos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Rafaela. After 22 played minutes, PFC's Israel Osoitz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ovidio Vasco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PFC reached it. Ovidio Vasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Gutxi in the 25th minute of the match. Siro Urti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Fabian Jaunti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Vasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Lorenzo Blasi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. PFC's Antonio Barrionuevo got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lorenzo Blasi to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in PFC's zone, Siro Urti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Palos came out of the goal and Siro Urti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edelmiro Palos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Blasi in the 69th minute of play. With a little luck, Atletico Rafaela's Ovidio Vasco got control of the ball when Antonio Barrionuevo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Amadeo Quirce cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Edelmiro Palos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute Justino Jurdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Palos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
