Ambrosio Presebal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Rafaela. If Lorenzo Blasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Blasi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ATLETICO EMPALME's Ambrosio Presebal. Ambrosio Presebal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Justino Jurdan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as ATLETICO EMPALME's Angelino Umbruso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ovidio Vasco. That made the score 1-1 after 28 minutes of play. Angelino Umbruso struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ovidio Vasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATLETICO EMPALME. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Saverio Peli managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATLETICO EMPALME's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Peli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidio Vasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atletico Rafaela's Siro Urti got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Siro Urti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ambrosio Presebal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ambrosio Presebal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Blasi in the 45th minute of play. If Lorenzo Blasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saverio Peli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lorenzo Blasi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lorenzo Blasi got free with Ambrosio Presebal in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lorenzo Blasi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atletico Rafaela's Justino Jurdan got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the game, Amadeo Quirce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Rafaela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ATLETICO EMPALME the free kick. A collision led to Atletico Rafaela getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Siro Urti hit a great ball. Ovidio Vasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Peli, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ovidio Vasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Peli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Atletico Rafaela's Siro Urti got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ambrosio Presebal made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Lorenzo Blasi sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute, Angelino Umbruso made a precise shot to the right of Ovidio Vasco. Atletico Rafaela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Many of Atletico Rafaela's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Atletico Rafaela may have spent more time on the ball, but ATLETICO EMPALME were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
